Three get death in Feni rape case

A court in Feni district on Thursday sentenced three people to death in a rape case.

The condemned convicts are Abul Kashem, Md Latu and Zahangir Alam.

The district Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal judge Osman Haider gave the verdict.

The judge also acquitted another accused, Mohammad Faruk, from the charges.

Prosecution lawyer Farid Ahmed Hazari confirmed the matter to the media.

He said the condemned convicts abducted a woman and her daughter, residents of Nababpur Union under Sonagazi upazila.

Later, they confined the woman and raped her daughter at gunpoint.
