Six killed in Chattogram road accident

Six people were killed and seven others injured as a bus hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Patiya upazila of Chattogram district on Monday night.

The deceased were identified as Bishwahit Sen, 45, and his wife Rupana Sen, 30, residents of Mohammadpur Sen Bari under Chandanaish Police Station, Sabbir Hossain, 18, son of Md Hossain, Rezaul Karim Rafik, 35, son of Abdur Razzak, and Md Ismail, 50, of Rashidabad village, and Shuva Dhar, 45, of Satbaria area under Patia Police Station, and Md Ismail. Of them, the first six were passengers of the auto-rickshaw and the last one was its driver. 

Shikalbaha Highway Police Outpost in-charge Tofazzal Ahmed said a bus of 'Relax Paribahan' hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the place between Julur Dighi and Baiyar Dighi on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar Highway around 8:15 pm, leaving six people dead.

However, the injured were passengers of the bus.
