Evaly's Rassel, Shamima sued in Chattogram

A case has been filed against Evaly's ex-managing director Md Rassel and his wife Shamima Nasrin, also the former chairman of the e-commerce platform, in Chattogram district on charge of cheating the customers.

An Evaly customer named Chowdhury Naim Sarwar lodged the lawsuit in the court of Chattogram Metropolitan Magistrate Jewel Deb on Tuesday. 

Advocate Abul Hasnat, the lawyer for the accuser, confirmed the matter to Jago News.

Hasnat said his client submitted Tk 1.60 lakh to purchase a motorcycle from Evaly but the company did not provide it.

Rather, it gave him a cheque. When he submitted the cheque to bank, it was rejected, he added.
