2 more Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia

Two more Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims passed away in Saudi Arabia in the last two days. 

The deceased were identified as Tapon Khandaker, 61, of Dhaka and Md Rafiqul Islam, 47, of Jamalpur. 

Tapon died in Mecca on Friday and Rafiqul died on Thursday.

A total of ten Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims have died in Saudi Arabia so far during this hajj season. Of them, seven are men and three are women.

A bulletin of the Bangladesh Hajj Management Portal under the Religious Affairs Ministry confirmed the deaths to Jago News.

A total of 57,585 Bangladeshis will be able to perform the holy Hajj this year. Of them, 4,000 will perform Hajj under government management and 53, 585 people will perform Hajj under private hajj management.

Hajj flight started from Bangladesh on 5 June. The last Hajj flight from Dhaka will leave on July 4.
