Light to moderate rain likely
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Tuesday predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes may occur at different parts of the country in 24 hours as of 9 am tomorrow.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershower with temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Dhaka and Barishal divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi and Khulna divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions," said a met office bulletin issued.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay, it added.
However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 34.5 degrees Celsius at Chuadanga and today's minimum temperature 24.5 degrees Celsius was at Tetulia.
The highest rainfall during the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 131 mm in Mongla.
The sun sets at 6.50 pm today and rises at 5.14 am tomorrow in the capital.
