Five teachers killed in Naogaon road accident

Five teachers were killed in a fatal road accident on the Naogaon-Rajshahi road in Naogaon district on Friday morning.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

A truck hit an auto-rickshaw at Babtoli intersection around 8 am, leaving five passengers of the latter vehicle dead on the spot.

Naogaon Fire Service and Civil Defence deputy director Mahmudul Hasan confirmed to Jago News.

Locals said the teachers met their tragic end when they were coming to Naogaon Teachers Training Center on the auto-rickshaw.

Naogaon Sadar Police Station officer in-charge Nazrul Islam also confirmed the incident.
