1135 more Covid cases, 1 death recorded in 24 hrs
The Bangladesh government reported 1135 more Coronavirus cases and one death in the last 24 hours.
With this, the total number of infections increased to 19,59,209 and the fatalities remain at 29,134.
The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Wednesday.
The new cases were found after testing 8,536 samples in the past day.
During the period, 122 more patients recovered from the illness, taking the total recoveries to 19,06,105.
Bangladesh, however, first reported its coronavirus cases on March 8, 2020.
The virus first emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December 2019 and then it spread to other countries.
To date, the epidemic infected 545,874,281 people and killed 6,343,924 across the globe, according to Worldometer, a website that compiles the number of new coronavirus cases and deaths from it.
However, the total number of people who recovered from the virus reached 521,849,798 across the world.
