3 Bangladeshis killed in road accident in Saudi Arabia

At least three Bangladeshi nationals including mother and son were killed and two others injured in a deadly road crash in Arafat Maidan area of Makka in Saudi Arabia last afternoon.

The victims were identified as Hena Akter, 45, and her son Arif Ahmed, 22 from Dhaka’s Dhanmondi and Rokeya Begum, 40, from Narsingdi, said Altaf Hossain, first secretary at Bangladesh Consulate in Jeddah.

The two injured are Sohrab Hossain, 50, and Hafsa, 13, he said.

The accident took place when a car crashed onto another car carrying the Bangladeshis to Makka, Altaf mentioned quoting locals.

The bodies of the three were kept at Al Noor Hospital mortuary while the two injured were admitted to a local hospital, he mentioned.
