Light to moderate rain likely
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Monday predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes may occur at different parts of the country in 24 hours as of 9 am tomorrow.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershower with temporary gusty or squally wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions," said a met office bulletin.
"Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay," it added.
However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 34.4 degrees Celsius at Mongla and today's minimum temperature 22.0 degrees Celsius was recorded at Sitakunda.
The highest rainfall during the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 242 mm at Chattogram.
The sun sets at 6.49 pm today and rises at 5.11 am tomorrow in the capital.
