One more dies in Sitakunda explosion

The death toll from BM Container Depot explosion in Chattogram’s Sitakunda rose to 47 as one more person died early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Gausul Azam, a member of the Fire Service and Civil Defence. 

He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (SHNIBPS). He had 70 percent burns. 

Dr Ayub Hossain, Resident Surgeon of the SHNIBPS, confirmed the matter to Jago News.  

However, 27 of the deceased were identified and handed over to their families. 

It is to be noted that, an explosion took place at BM Container Depot in Sitakunda on night of June 4. A total of 47 people, including members of the fire service, were killed. Hundreds of people were burnt and are being treated at different hospitals.
