DBC News producer found dead in Hatirjheel

Police recovered the blood-stained body of private television channel DBC News producer Abdul Bari from a roadside opposite the Police Plaza in the capital’s Hatirjheel on Wednesday morning.

According to police, some street children spotted the dead body and informed police. Later, Gulshan police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. 

Confirming the matter to Jago News, Nazmul Hasan, Deputy Police Commissioner of Gulshan Division, said they primarily suspected that the killers killed Bari with sharp weapons. The body was sent to Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital for an autopsy. 

“A blood-stained knife, a money bag and a mobile phone were recovered from the spot. Bari was an inhabitant of Sirajganj Sadar Upazila and he lived in a fat in Dhaka’s Mohakhali,” he said. 

However, Gulshan police officials visited the spot.
