Now Rangpur priest gets life threat

Amid growing concern over militancy, terrorist attacks and target killing across the country, now the priest of Rangpur Anandomoyi Seba Ashram received death threat letter from unknown on Monday morning.

Officer-in charge of Sadar Police Station of Rangpur Jahidul Islam said Bijoy Chakrabarty, priest of Anandomoyi Seba Ashram gets a letter form an anonymous where the sender demanded tk 20,000 from him.

The sender threaten the priest if he doesn’t pay the money, he will be killed very soon, said the OC.

Rothish Chandra Bhoumick, General Secretary of Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad, Rangpur Unit said, they have already informed the local administration about the threat and urged to police to tighten the security.
