Probe bodies formed over Sitakunda container depot fire

Chattogram District Administration has formed a nine-member probe body over the container depot fire in Sitakunda upazila of the district. 

The disclosure was made in a press release signed by the district magistrate, Mohammad Muminur Rahman, on Sunday. 

The committee has been asked to submit an investigation report within seven working days.

Earlier, the Fire Service and Civil Defence formed a five-member body to look into the incident. 

The committee has been directed to submit an inquiry report within three working days. 

Fire Service Director General Brigadier Md Main Uddin had confirmed the matter.

A massive fire broke out at BM Container Depot on Saturday night and it spread fast as there were chemical substances, leaving 49 people dead, so far.
