5 of a family among 6 killed in Rajbari road accident

Six people including five of a family were killed and two others injured in a triangular collision among a truck, an auto-rickshaw and a private car in Rajbari on Wednesday morning. 

The accident took place on Rajbari-Kushtia regional highway in front of Kalukhali Chandpur Fire Station around 8:45am. 

The deceased were identified as auto-rickshaw driver Nasir, 32, son of Basir Uddin of Pangsa upazila, Masiron Bibi, 60, her daughter Marium, 40, her grandchild Yousuf Ali, 5, Nayan, 8 and Shila.   

According to the source, a speedy Kushtia-bound truck collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw and a private car, leaving three people dead on the spot and injured three others. Later, three other people died on the way to Kalukhali Upazila Hospital.  

In this connection, Rajbari Sadar Fire Station Officer Soraj Miah, said on information, they rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation. Three people died on the spot and three others also died on the way to the hospital.  

“It is primarily said that all the deceased were the passengers of the auto-rickshaw,” he added.
