Drive against unregistered hospitals, clinics begins
The government has started the drive against unregistered hospitals, clinics and diagnostic centres in the capital.
A team of Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection led by its Assistant Director Fahmina Akter conducted a drive at Dhaka Crown Medical Centre in Badda on Sunday noon.
The team didn’t find irregularities at the medical centre. Later, the team went to Dogma Hospital and other clinics.
Earlier on Thursday, Health Directorate Additional Director General (Administration) Professor Dr Ahmedul Kabir in a notice directed to close all unregistered hospitals, clinics and diagnostic centres within 72 hours.
A legal action will be taken against those who will not close their unregistered hospitals, clinics and diagnostic centres within this time, he added this in the notice.
