5 killed as truck collides with Leguna in Sirajganj

Five people were killed and some others injured in a head-on collision between a stone-laden truck and a Leguna on Dhaka-Rajshahi highway at Ramarchar area in Solonga thana of Sirajganj early Thursday. 

The deceased were identified as Mukul Hossen, 35, Monir Hossain, 34, Mokbul Hossain, 35, Abdul Halim, 35 and Haider Ali, 40. 

Lutfor Rahman, Sub Inspector of Hatikumrul Highway Thana, confirmed the matter to Jago News. 

He said, three people died on the spot after a truck collided head-on with a Leguna around 2am. Later, some injured people were sent to a local hospital where the doctors declared two of them dead.
