Prof Nurul Alam made JU VC

Professor Dr Md Nurul Alam has temporarily been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of Jahangirnagar University.

The Ministry of Education said this in a notification on Sunday.

The notification said President M Abdul Hamid appointed him in the post according to section 11(2) of Jahangirnagar University Act, 1973.

Earlier, he was given routine duty as JU Vice-Chancellor on March 1 this year.
