Woman, daughter killed in Barishal trawler capsize

A woman and her daughter were killed in a trawler capsize in the Gazaria River at Mehendiganj upazila of Barishal district on Friday morning.

The deceased were identified as Mayanur Begum and her daughter Nasrin Begum. 

Three others remain missing in the incident that took place around 10 am, Mehendiganj Police Station inspector (inspector) Md Touhiduzzaman told Jago News.

The Coast Guard and Navy police members were conducting a drive to rescue them, he added.
