NSU student killed in accident on Kuril flyover
A female student of North South University was killed in a road accident on Kuril flyover in the capital on Friday morning.
Deceased Maisha Momtaz Mim, 20, was the sixth-semester student of the English & Modern Languages department.
The incident took place around 7:30am, Khilkhet Police Station officer in-charge Munshi Sabbir Ahmed confirmed to Jago News.
Mim met the accident when she was descending from the flyover, Sabbir said, adding that CCTV footage showed a covered van at the scene.
The police station sub-inspector Sajal Sarker told Jago News that a pedestrian took injured Mim to Kurmitola General Hospital around 7:30am but the on-duty doctors declared her dead.
Later, the body was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue.
He said they assume a vehicle might hit Mim's scooty and ran.
