Bangladesh records 3 Covid deaths in 24 hrs

Three people died from coronavirus and 82 contracted the virus in the past 24 hours.

With this, the total fatalities and infections rose to 29,117 and 19,50,609 respectively, a health directorate press release on Sunday.

As many as 0,068 samples were collected and 9,082 tested in the past day.

During the period, 837 more patients recovered from the illness, taking the total number of recoveries to 18,70,471.

Bangladesh, however, first reported its coronavirus cases on March 8, 2020. 

The virus first emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December 2019 and then it spread to other countries.

To date, the epidemic infected 470,206,608 people and killed 6,098,938 across the globe, according to Worldometer, a website that compiles the number of new coronavirus cases and deaths from it.

However, the total number of people who recovered from the virus reached 400,759,783 across the world.
