Explosives, firecrackers banned on Shab-e-Barat

Dhaka Metropolitan Police has banned carrying explosives and the explosion of firecrackers on the night of holy Shab-e-Barat.

The ban was issued in a press release signed by DMP Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam on Wednesday.

The release read carrying explosives, the explosion of firecrackers, and carrying other harmful materials have been banned from 6 pm on Friday to 6 am on Saturday with a view to maintaining the sanctity of Shab-e-Barat and ensuring peaceful observation of the night.

However, the Shab-e-Barat will be observed in Bangladesh on Friday night.
