182 test Covid positive in 24 hrs

No one died from coronavirus and 182 contracted the virus in the past 24 hours.

With this, the total fatalities and infections rose to 29,112 and 19,50,124 respectively. 

The directorate general of health services said this in a press release on Wednesday.

As many as 13,062 samples were collected and 13,179 tested in the past day.

During the period, 1,192 more patients recovered from the illness, taking the total recoveries to 18,65,600.

Bangladesh, however, first reported its coronavirus cases on March 8, 2020. 

The virus first emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December 2019 and then it spread to other countries.

To date, the epidemic infected 462,226,539 people and killed 6,075,115 across the globe, according to Worldometer, a website that compiles the number of new coronavirus cases and deaths from it.

However, the total number of people who recovered from the virus reached 395,422,773 across the world.
