Govt records no daily Covid death
The government on Tuesday recorded no new daily coronavirus death but reported 217 fresh cases of the virus.
Earlier on December 9 last year, the country saw zero daily fatality.
A total of 29,112 people, so far, died from the virus, while 19,49,942 caught it, the health directorate said in a press release today.
Of the total patients, 18,68,408 recovered, with 1,600 made recovery in the last 24 hours.
Bangladesh first reported its coronavirus cases on March 8 in 2020.
Coronavirus first emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December 2019 and then spread to newer countries and territories.
To date, the epidemic infected 460,358,788 people and killed 6,068,958 across the globe, according to Worldometer, a website that compiles the number of new coronavirus cases and deaths from it.
However, the total number of people who recovered from the coronavirus pandemic reached 393,763,590 across the world.
