Nilkhet book shops fire under control
The massive fire that broke out at book shops at a market in Nilkhet area of the capital has been brought under control.
The firefighters doused the blaze at around 8:50 pm, Fire Service and Civil Defence Director (operations and maintenance) Lieutenant Colonel Zillur Rahman confirmed.
Earlier, the fire originated at the book shops of Bakusha Hawkers Market around 7:47 pm, fire service duty officer Rozina Akter told Jago News.
Being informed, three units of the firefighters first, and later, seven ones went to the spot, she said.
The officer could not inform about the causes of the fire and the amount of the damages.
