Truck-bus collision kills 3

Three people were killed and thirty others injured in a head-on collision between a mini truck and a bus at Chakaria upazila in Cox’s Bazar on Sunday night. 

The deceased were identified as Bajlu Haque, 40, the driver of the bus, its helper Alal, 35 and Khaled, 28, the driver of the truck.

Safayet Hossain, In-charge of Malumghat Highway Police Outpost, said a Dhaka-bound bus of Shyamoli Paribahan collided head-on with the mini truck, leaving 3 people dead on the spot and 30 others injured around 11:30pm. 

On information, members of police and fire service rushed to the spot. The thirty injured people were sent to different hospitals, the police officer said.
