HC directs to remove Mohasin Khan’s suicide video

The High Court (HC) has directed the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to remove the video of businessman Abu Mohasin Khan who committed suicide on Facebook live.

A two-member HC bench passed the order on Thursday.  

However, a member of Mohasin’s family filed a UD case with Dhanmondi Police Station over his suicide.

Mohasin Khan, the father-in-law of movie actor Riaz, committed suicide in his flat in the capital’s Dhanmondi on Wednesday night.

He shot himself in his head with a pistol while reciting the Kalema. Showing the license of his weapon, he said, “It’s not illegal, it’s licensed and has also been renewed. I’m leaving.”
