RU student Himel buried in Natore

Rajshahi University (RU) student Mahmud Habib Himel, who was killed after run over by a truck on the campus, has been buried after second namaz-e-janaza.

He was laid to rest at Kendriyo Garikhana graveyard in Natore Sadar upazila at 2pm on Wednesday. 

RU Student Advisor Affairs Tareq Nur, Himel’s relatives and more than five hundred students were present during this time.

Earlier, Himel’s first namaz-e-janaza was held on RU’s central mosque filed at 10:30am. Later, his body was taken to Natore. 

Earlier on Tuesday night, Himel was killed by a truck in front of the Habibur Rahman beside the under constructing science building of the university.  

Later, a group of students set fire to five trucks and blocked Dhaka-Rajshahi highway demanding the trial of incident.
