Sinha murder case: Six get life in prison

A court in Cox's Bazar district on Monday awarded six people life term imprisonment in the murder case of Major (retd) Sinha Md Rashed Khan. 

They were given the sentence for their association with former OC Pradeep and inspector Liaqat, who got the death penalty, in the killing. 

Cox's Bazar District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Ismail pronounced the verdict after around 18 months of the murder.  

Major (retd) Sinha was killed in police firing at Baharchhara police check-post in Teknaf on the night of Eid-ul-Azha on July 31, 2020.

Sharmin Shahriar Ferdous, elder sister of Sinha, filed a case with Teknaf Senior Judicial Magistrate Court after the incident on August 5.
