Dacoit factional clash kills 2

At least two dacoits were killed in a gunfight between two factions of dacoit gang at a hill near the no.14 bridge in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazaar in the early hours of Thursday.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered two dead bodies and arms. The identity of them could not be known immediately.

According to source, local people informed the police after hearing sound of firing at a hill area. Later sensing presence of the police, dacoit gang managed to flee away.

Officer-in-charge of Teknaf Police Station Kabir Hosen said dacoit members of gang leaders-Abdul Hakim and Nurul Hakim-locked into a clash over establishing supremacy in the area.

Hearing the news a team of police led by Sub Inspector Kanchon Kanti Das rushed to the spot and recovered two dead bodies.
