Train covered van crash kills 1 Ctg

A man was killed and at least three others were injured in a crash between a passenger train and a covered van at Barabkunda area in Sitakunda Upazila of Chittagong district early Tuesday.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Abul Kalam Azad, Chittagong railway station manager, confirmed the matter to media adding that the accident took place around 5:30am.

Following the incident, four compartments of the train were derailed snapping the rail link with Dhaka, he added.

The officials were trying to restore the communication as per the last update of the matter.
