NCC polls: NID required for movement on voting day

People will require to carry national identity card alongwith them for movement on the voting day of Narayanganj City Corporation elections. 

"All will be allowed for movement checking their national identity card on the voting day," Superintendent of Narayanganj Police Md Zayedul Alam said.

That is why they urged the city dwellers to go outside carrying NID alongwith them, he said in a press conference centering NCC polls held at the deputy commissioner's office on Saturday.

Mentioning that no candidate, so far, made complaints in written, SP Zayedul said, "We are voluntarily investigating the allegations received through the media."

No incident of harassment or obstruction happened and the contenders conducted their campaign in a joyful and festive environment, he added. 

The city corporation election will be held on Sunday.
