The country’s situation will be worsened if the 11-point restrictions imposed by the government are not maintained.

Health Minister Zahid Maleque said this on Saturday noon while inaugurating CT scan machine and dialysis unit at the Manikganj 250-Bed District Hospital.

He said the country will be loser if the lockdown is imposed. We don’t want to move in that direction.

The minister said health guidelines are not being followed properly in many places including trade fair. It is very unfortunate.

Zahid also said Corona is spreading rapidly in Bangladesh as well as all over the world. A total of 4,400 people were infected with virus on Friday. The infection rate has crossed around 13 percent.

“In this situation, we all must wear masks and maintain social distance,” the minister added.

Health Directorate Additional Director General Ahmedul Kabir, Manikganj Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Abdul Latif, Police Superintendent Mohammad Golam Azad Khan, Colonel Malek Medical General Hospital Principal Dr Jakir Hossain and Manikganj 250-Bed District Hospital Superintendent Dr Arshad Ullah were present among others during this time.
