Public transport to operate with half capacity

The government has decided to operate public transport with half passenger capacity in an effort to fight the Omicron coronavirus variant.

The decision will come into effect from January 13, said a circular issued by the Cabinet Division on Monday evening.

As per the circular, the authorities concerned will issue specific instructions in this regard.

Drivers of all kind of vehicles and their assistants must have COVID-19 vaccination certificate.
