Students to get vaccines showing ID or registration cards

Any students, who are above 12 years, will get Coronavirus vaccines showing their identity (ID) cards or registration cards.   

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said this at a press briefing at Secretariat on Monday.

“We are not closing the educational institutions right now. We will complete the first dose of vaccine for all students by this month,” said Dr Dipu Moni.

The minister said, the students of the National University are lagging far behind in vaccination. Hence, we will meet with the concerned authorities of the National University and the Open University on Tuesday. 

She said they will monitoring the situation regularly keeping the educational institutions opened and hold meeting with National Advisory Committee in every week.

The minister also said the students, who have received the vaccines, will attend classes with physically presence and the students, who didn’t get the vaccines or sick will attend classes virtually. 

Deputy Education Minister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury, Secondary and Higher Education Division Secretary Abu Bakar Siddiq and Seondary and Higher Education Directorate Director General Prof Syed Golam Faruk were present among others during this time.
