Truck runs over JnU female student

A female student of Jagannath University was killed as a truck ran over her in Sonaimuri upazila of Noakhali district on Saturday afternoon.

Deceased Sabrina Akter was a student of the Mass Communication and Journalism department of session 2017-18.

A truck ran over Sabrina around 12:30 pm when she was crossing a road, her father told Jago News.

Sonaimuri Police Station sub-inspector Ibrahim Khalil said the student died on the spot after a brick-laden truck ran over her.

JnU Proctor Mostafa Kamal said they were informed about the incident and contacted the bereaved family.

The death news of Sabrina saddened the JnU MCJ dept teachers and students and they expressed their profound sorrow at the death.
