Covid booster doses to be given from Sunday

Health Minister Zahid Maleque has said the Covid booster doses will be given to the senior citizens aged above 60 and frontline workers from Sunday. 

The booster dose campaign will begin on trial at the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) in the capital’s Mohakhali. 

The minister said this at a programme as the chief guest at the Manikganj Subhro Centre in Sadar upazila on Saturday noon.

He said, the booster dose of the Pfizer vaccine will be given first. The campaign will be launched across the country gradually.  

He also said, seven crore doses of Pfizer vaccines are in stock. Another two crore vaccines will reached home next month so there will be no crisis of vaccines.
