Youth jailed for life in murder case

A Narail court on Wednesday convicted a young man and sentenced him to life term imprisonment in a murder case.

Alongside, the court fined lifer Palash Mia, 32, Tk 50,000, and in default, he will have to serve six months more in jail.

District and Sessions Judge Munshi Moshiar Rahman handed down the verdict with sentenced Palash on the dock.

Prosecutor Emdadul Haque said Palash Mina called Thandu Sarder out of his home in Lohagara upazila over the phone on the evening of January 22, 2016.

On the following day, police recovered his body from a field beside Itna Girls School.

Later, the victim's mother Golapi Begum lodged a case with Lohagara Police Station in this connection.
