Want work not percentage: Quader

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Monday said that he don’t want commission or percentage but work.

‘Any government officials can’t go abroad until Eid-ul-Azha as there is lot of works to finish before the Eid holidays,’ he said to officials in a meeting held in Secretariat in the noon.

After the meeting he said to reporters that leave of the officials of Road Transport and Bridges Ministry has been suspended as his ministry aimed to finish road construction works ahead of upcoming Eid.

The minister claimed that he went in Thailand and Japan in purpose of Elevated Expressway and Metro Rail project and in last seven years he didn’t take a single day leave.

He also said that he didn’t go USA and UK in his ministerial period.

Accused the officials for traffic jam on Dhaka-Tangail Highway the senior Awami League leader said persons who failed to perform their duties will be punished.
