Lawyer Abdul Baset dies

Former Vice Chairman of Bangladesh Bar Council and former President of Supreme Court Lawyers Association Abdul Baset Majumder has passed away. He was 84.  

He breathed his around 8am on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at the United Hospital in the capital.

He was suffering from lung problems.

His son and Supreme Court lawyer Sayeed Ahmed Raja confirmed the matter to Jago News.

Abdul left behind two sons, two daughters and many well-wishers to mourn his death. 

His namaz-e-janaza will be held at Supreme Court premises after Zuhr prayer. He will be buried at his village home in Cumilla.

Earlier on September 30, he was admitted to the hospital. He was given life support on Monday after his health condition deteriorated.
