55 lakh more Sinopharm vaccines to reach Dhaka tonight
A consignment of 55 lakh more Sinopharm vaccines is expected to reach Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka on Wednesday midnight.
Assistant Director of the Health Directorate Dr Shahriar Sazzad, worked at HSIA, confirmed the matter to Jago News.
Earlier, 10 lakh doses of Sinopharm vaccines arrived in Dhaka at 11pm on Monday and 10 lakh doses of Astrazeneca vaccines reached Dhaka from Netherland at 12am on Tuesday.
On January 27 this year, the vaccination programme started in the country. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the programme at Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital.
In the last 24 hours, 5,62,274 people received the Coronavirus vaccine, raising the number of vaccine receivers to 58,801,055.
