Mother, 2 children found dead
Police recovered the bodies of a woman and her two minor children from a house in Chattogram city early Friday.
The deceased were Sumita Begum, 27, wife of Sohel, a resident of SS Housing area beside Ismail Colony under Panchlaish Police Station, and her daughter Zannatul, 7, and son San, 3.
Police said Sohel in the early hours informed them that door of his house closed from inside.
Later, the law inforcers broke open the door and retrieved the bodies of his wife and two children. However, police found the housewife hanging.
Locals said Sohel has a herbal medicine store in Muradpur area in the city, and he was mentally sick before marriage.
The police station officer in-charge (investigation) Kamal Hossain said they primarily assume that the incident happened over family conflict.
Police is questioning the housewife's husband, and looking into the matter, he added.
Earlier on Thursday, police recovered the bodies of three members of a family in Mirsharai upazila of Charrogram.
