EC to be formed through search committee: Law Minister

Law Minister Anisul Haq has said the new Election Commission (EC) will be formed through a search committee.

Anisul said this while unveiling a book written on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) on Thursday noon. 

He said, there is no scope to form the EC formulating new law due to the Coronavirus.

“Prime Minister recently at a press conference cleared that the new EC will be formed through the search committee,” he said.

ULAB trustee board member Kazi Nabil Ahmed and its Acting Vice Chancellor Dr Samsad Mortuza were present among others during this programme.
