ringID Director Saiful arrested

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested the Director of controversial social media platform ringID Saiful Islam. 

Azad Rahman, Additional Superintendent of CID (Media), confirmed the arrest to Jago News on Saturday. 

He said, Saiful was arrested from Gulshan area in the capital on Friday. He was shown arrested in a case filed under the Digital Security Act (DSA) on September 30.

“He will be produced before the court with five-day remand prayer for interrogation,” the CID officer said.   

He also said, after being cheated online financially a man filed the case with Vatara Police Station accusing 10 named people and 10 to 15 unnamed people of ringID.
