Seven suspects held over Sholakia terrorist attack

In connection with Thursday’s terrorist attack near Sholakia Eidgah in Sadar upazila, Police have arrested seven suspects from different parts of the district on Thursday night.

At least four people, including two policemen, one women and one suspected attacker, killed and 12 others injured in the fierce clash.

Police conducted separate drives in the district on Thursday night and arrested seven people over suspicion of their involvement in the attack, quoting officer-in-charge of Kishoreganj Police Station Mosharraf, UNB reports.

However, police did not disclose the identities of the arrestees.

Police also recovered two Chinese axes and one locally made sharp weapon from the possession of the arrestees.

Earlier, at least four people, including two policemen, were killed and 12 others injured in a bomb attack coupled with an exchange of gunfire after terrorists attacked a temporary police check post near Sholakia Eidgah in Sadar upazila on Thursday morning.
