242 more hospitalized with dengue fever in 24 hrs

As many as 242 people with dengue fever were admitted to different hospitals in and outside the capital in the last 24 hours until Sunday morning.

With this, a total of 1,043 patients diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different hospitals.

Among them, 814 are receiving treatment in Dhaka while the rest 229 are outside the capital, according to the Directorate General of Health Services.

It said a total of 17,357 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country as of today since January 1 this year. 

Out of them, 61 died while 16,253 recovered.
