The High Court has granted bail to 11 lawyers, including the former president of Mymensingh District Bar Association Md Nurul Haque, for eight weeks in a case filed under the Digital Security Act.

The virtual bench Justice Mustafa Zaman Islam and Justice KM Zahid Sarwar on Sunday passed the order after the accused had prayed bail.

Freedom fighter Abdul Kalam Muhammad Azad lodged the DSA case against 11 pro-BNP lawyers on September 14 accusing them of chanting defamatory slogans against Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in a demonstration procession at the premises of Mymensingh Judge Court.
