Child electrocuted in Dhaka

A 10-year-old boy died from electrocution at Tejgaon in the capital on Thursday afternoon.

Deceased Sajal Alif was the son of Khairul Islam from Kurerpara village under Raypura Police Station in Narsingdi district.

Alif's maternal uncle Yasin said his nephew came in contact with a live wire at the rooftop of their home at Tejgaon Kunipara around 2 pm.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

Alif along with his mother Parveen came to their home from Narsingdi 15 days ago, Yasin added.

DMCH Police Camp in-charge (inspector) Md Bachchu Mia confirmed the matter.
