Muhibbullah Babunagari made Hefazat ameer

Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh has elected Muhibbullah Babunagari as its ameer.

His name was announced as ameer around 4:30 pm on Sunday after a meeting of the Central Khas Committee of the Qawmi madrasa-based organization.

The organizing secretary of the organization, Mawlana Meer Idris, confirmed the matter to Jago News.

Earlier, Allama Muhibullah Babunagari was made acting ameer of the organization after its Ameer Allama Junayed Babunagari died on August 19.

However, the newly elected Hefazat chief is the maternal uncle of late Junayed Babunagari.

Earlier, he served the organization as its chief advisor.
