8 die of Coronavirus in Mymensingh

Eight people died at the Corona unit of Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital in the last 24 hours. Three of them died from the disease and the rest five died with its symptoms. 

The deceased were identified as Aktera, 48, Nurul Islam, 70, Fatema Khatun, 55, Firoza Khatun, 60, Abdul Kader, 45, Morshed, 62, Nazrul Islam, 56 and Farida, 35.

Dr Mohiuddin Khan Mun, Focal Person of MMCH’s Corona unit, confirmed the deaths to Saturday.

A total of 174 Corona patients are receiving treatments at the Corona unit and 17 of them are in Intensive Care unit of the hospital.  

In the last 24 hours, 42 people tested positive for the virus, said the district Civil Surgeon Md Nazrul Islam.
