Housewife's throat-slit body found in Netrakona

Police on Saturday afternoon recovered the throat-slit body of a housewife in Sadar upazila of Netrakona district.

Deceased Sharifa Akter, 35, was the wife of Ripon Mia, an expatriate and resident of Saziura village.

Police said locals informed them that a woman was found dead with her throat slit in her bed room.

Later, the law enforcers retrieved the body and sent it to Netrakona Adhunik Sadar Hospital morgue.

Mohammad Fakruzzaman Jewel, additional superintendent (administration) of the district police, they primarily assume that it was a pre-planned murder but it would be probed.
